Mission Statement
At present the Central Coast's Traditional Latin Mass Community of Saint Junipero Serra is served by Fr. Hughes Beaugrand at the request of the Most Reverend Richard J. Garcia, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Monterey in California.
The Traditional Latin Mass Community of Saint Junipero Serra serves those members of Christ's Faithful who worship in accordance with the traditional Latin Liturgy (or Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite) of the Catholic Church. The Sacred Liturgy is celebrated with the Roman liturgical books of 1962. Not merely its lawfulness, but the continued importance of the traditional Latin Liturgy for the faith and life of the Church, already affirmed by St. John Paul II in 'Ecclesia Dei,' was further emphasized and guaranteed by Pope Benedict XVI, in 'Summorum Pontificum.'
The traditional Latin Liturgy is centered on God as its core. The Traditional Latin Mass as it has developed through the centuries, under the gentle influence of the Holy Spirit, bears treasures of language, music and ritual that raise our hearts and minds to the presence and action of Almighty God, in order to praise Him and to witness to the Gospel message given to us by Christ Jesus our Savior.

News Update 11/3/2016
Fr. Beaugrand left for France and returns on November 12th. He will continue to serve the Hollister TLM community as his primary parish, and we will be his secondary community. Each Sunday, Fr. Beaugrand will first offer Holy Mass at the Hollister parish at 10:30 AM, and then drive to St. Paul's to offer Holy Mass. There is no way of keeping the same 12:30 time for Mass at St. Paul's. Beginning November 13th, the Traditional Latin Mass will be offered at 3:30 PM, and will continue at 3:30 until further notice. (There will no longer be a 12:30 PM Mass at St. Paul's beginning on Nov. 13th.) As of this post, neither I nor Mrs. Celine Souza know if he will be able to arrive earlier to hear confessions. Fr. Robert Travis will still off Holy Mass at 12:30 PM on November 6th. November 6th will also be the date of the last coffee social.

Missal Reminder
Fr. Beaugrand has sent out a reminder that we should all carry a missal to Mass. If you do not have a missal, he has a friend who is an editor for Angelus Press who can reduce the price of a missal from the Angelus Press company from $65, not including tax and shipping, to $45 tax and shipping included. For more information on how to obtain this discount, please talk to Fr. Beaugrand.
